The Days After

It has been exactly one month since the destruction of The Fears. Hmm, seems I went a bit ahead with that, haven't I? Actually, let's start at the beginning. The Fears are a group of creatures that inspire fear in human beings, though reading the name, that was probably obvious. It was quite a large group, consisting of 26 beings (though some aren't exactly humanoid.)

It consisted of The Archangel, The Black Dog, The Blind Man, The Brute and Burning Bride, The Choir, The Cold Boy, The Convocation, The Dying Man, EAT, The Empty City, The Eye, The Grotesque, The Intrusion, The Manufactured Newborn, The Mother of Snakes, The Nightlanders, The Plague Doctor, The Quiet, The Rake, The Red Cap, The Slender Man, The Smiling Man, The Unnamed Child, The Vision, and The Wooden Girl. Despite being in the same group, very few of them really got along. If you were stalked by one, you'd then be stalked by that one's enemies. I don't believe I need to go into depth on The Fears.

Behind the scenes however, a new group of creatures formed. They would later be given the name of The Phenomena. It consists of The Algernon Forest, The Answer, The Bleeding Tree, The Deep, The Ivory Woman, The Man in Gray, and Nobody. From what I've heard recently, they may have just grown in rank, though I can't confirm this at the time.

One seemingly normal day (with Fears around, that is), The Fears all teleported to the Empty City. Any body being stalked by one of them saw a flash of a random color and the Fear would be gone. It was a trap for The Fears, set by The Phenomena. No one knows what happened exactly, but The Phenomena won. The Fears were all dead, is what was told. Several items were shown to prove this. A gas mask, a book and glasses, feathers, dead bugs, metal scrap, dead snakes, flowers, strings, and lastly, an Azoth-stained tie. The domains of the Fears started being taken over by The Phenomena. For example, The Path of Black Leaves would quickly turn into the Path of Red Leaves. Any domain not originally claimed was left uninhabited.

Now you may be wondering how I know all of this. Well, let me give a formal introduction. Hi, my name is Sean Watsky... and I used to be a Willing Doll.
